Add some shimmer to your project with metallics!

Rethunk Junk by Laura® Metals Paints offer unparalleled elegance with ease! Whether you prefer subtle shimmer or show-stopping shine, metallics create eye-catching beauty that will make your project stand out. Plus, it's simple enough for beginners to use successfully but packed with pigments that experts will adore!

  • Add Subtle Shimmer

To create subtle shimmer, paint your piece with a Rethunk Junk by Laura® Furniture & Cabinet paint color that is close in tone to your selected metallic. Once the piece is painted, add the metallic accent in select areas over the base color. You can apply the metallic for full coverage or apply and dab off using a damp cloth for more of a faux finish effect.

Project Example: Photo features the base color Timeless Teal with Shimmering Sage Metallic on the drawer and door fronts.

  • Create Contrasting Accents

Choose from Rethunk Junk's 45 self-leveling, quick-drying paint colors for your project's base color. Once you have achieved full coverage, you're ready to add glitz with a contrasting metallic paint. Simply use a small accent brush to dab the metallic paint onto details you wish to highlight. Allow the metallic paint to dry and apply additional layers to intensify the shine.

Project Example: Photo features the base color Robin's Egg with Pixie Dust Metallic for accents.

  • Layers of Shine

Using metallics to add a touch of shimmer to your project infuses elegance and richness that sets your project apart. The best part is that you control the amount of shine with each layer of metallic paint you add.

Expert Tip: For added richness and depth, try blending two different metallics as you paint! Bronze is perfect to blend with Classic Gold or Copper! Love an aged Copper finish? Try layering a bit of Shimmering Sage over Copper.
