Handcrafted Holiday Magic: DIY Christmas Ornaments Using Redesign with Prima Moulds

There’s something special about trimming your tree with ornaments that tell a story — ones made with your own two hands. This season, we’re slowing down, turning up the Christmas music, and creating keepsakes that feel timeless and full of heart.

Using Redesign with Prima® moulds, you can turn the simplest materials into beautiful, heirloom-style ornaments. Each one captures that soft, vintage charm we love — elegant details, aged finishes, and just the right touch of sparkle. Whether you’re making them for your own tree or gifting them to someone you love, these handmade treasures will become part of your holiday memories for years to come.

Step-by-Step Instructions:

  1. Choose your mould and color combination. A classic look that will never go out of style is to combine red, green, or blue with a metallic gold or silver.
  2. Create your moulds using our Amazing Casting Resin. It's easy and only takes about 10 minutes. Just follow the instructions on the box.
  3. Paint your moulds in your base color. Let them dry completely before painting the second coat.
  4. Once the paint is dry, apply your choice of Decor Wax to the details.
  5. Finish with string, twine, or ribbon for hanging!

Here's two ornament collections for inspiration! If you love these looks, here's where to find the featured moulds:
